These paintings depict designs associated with the claypan site ofWatanuma, north-west of the Kintore Community.

The ‘U’ shapes represent a group of women who camped at Watanuma before continuing their travels east. The design at the outer edges of the work shows the sandhills in the country through which they passed. While in the area they gathered the edible berries known as kampurarrpa or desert raisin from the small shrub Solanum centrale.
